This position is a full time Excluded position with a day-for-day rotational work schedule (1 week on/1 week off).Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Engineer, the Marine 2nd Engineer is responsible for assisting in the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of the vessel's propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment, electrical systems. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining operational readiness while ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations, Company policies, and the International Safety Management (ISM) Code.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the vessel's propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Stand engineering watches in accordance with Company procedures and Transport Canada regulations.Monitor machinery performance and troubleshoot equipment issues as required.Complete preventative maintenance and repairs using the Company's planned maintenance system.Maintain accurate engineering logs, maintenance records,
