Canam Tools, a Division of the Arlen Group is seeking an experienced Full-Time Boring Mill Machinist to fill an open position on our CNC machining team. This role involves setting up, programming and operating horizontal boring mill equipment to produce high-quality precision components. This is a permanent, full-time position with steady work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate horizontal boring mill
- Machine to tight tolerances
- Select appropriate tooling, calculate speeds and feeds, and perform adjustments as required
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
- Maintain a clean, protected, and organized work area
- Work collaboratively to meet production schedules
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience operating horizontal boring mill machines
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments
- Experience machining large or complex parts
- Ability to work independently and safely
Assets
- Familiarity with Fanuc controller
- Forklift or crane experience
- Trade certification or completed apprenticeship
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, permanent employment - NO STEADY DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE
- Overtime as required and paid after 40 hours worked
- Starting wage: $27.00+/hour depending on experience
