**IT Business Decision Support Cons-L1(6 month contract)

Location:vBurnaby, BC / Hybrid

Staffing Placement Opportunity** General Description The IT Business Decision Support Consultant – Level 1 is responsible for gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements for medium to large IT projects. This role produces high-quality documentation and provides ongoing support to IT teams, business stakeholders, and end users to help achieve organizational and project objectives.

The position combines traditional business analysis responsibilities with hands-on support for mobile devices, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and related enterprise technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, document, and manage business requirements for medium to large IT projects in a complex enterprise environment.
- Produce high-quality project documentation, including governance documents, process impact assessments, process maps, and process designs.
- Coordinate stakeholder reviews, approvals, and sign-offs to support successful project delivery.
- Liaise with internal and external teams and vendors on data migration and system interface activities, ensuring dependencies and requirements are clearly understood and documented.
- Develop and maintain business and technical documentation, including:

- Business Requirements
- Functional and Non-Functional Requirements

- Data Requirements
- Business Scenarios and Use Cases

- Requirements Traceability Matrices

- Functional Specifications

- User Interface Specifications
- Support testing activities by preparing test plans, test scenarios/scripts, and test reports.
- Provide ongoing clarification and support to UX, development, training, and testing teams to ensure accurate interpretation of business requirements and process designs.
- Assist Project Managers with planning activities for subsequent project phases and contribute to successful transitions to sustainment teams.




- Document meeting outcomes and action items to support timely completion of project deliverables.
- Facilitate and lead collaborative workshops with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and internal or external implementation consultants.
- Analyze and validate process design solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and project objectives.
- Conduct impact analysis for changes to project scope or designs and maintain appropriate change documentation.
- Support change management activities, including stakeholder impact assessments, change management approaches, and training materials where required.
- Provide hands-on support for enterprise mobile devices, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and related technologies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience supporting medium to large IT projects in a complex enterprise environment, or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to quickly understand business problems, project objectives, requirements, and high-level solution designs.
- Strong understanding of business processes and how technology solutions can support organizational objectives.
- Excellent facilitation, coordination, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.





Mandatory Technical Experience

- Demonstrated proficiency in operating, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Android and Apple (iOS/iPadOS) mobile devices and tablets.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving mobile device hardware, software, connectivity, and application-related issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, including document management, permissions administration, collaboration features, and end-user support.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services in an enterprise environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions.
- Knowledge of mobile security, compliance controls, conditional access, and device lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- ITIL Foundation certification or experience working within an IT service management framework.
- Experience using ServiceNow.
- Experience within the public sector or utilities industry.
- Familiarity with complex enterprise IT and business environments.
- Experience working with formal project delivery methodologies.

Work Location & Engagement

- Location: Edmonds Office, Burnaby, BC.
- Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension up to 12 months.
- This position is expected to be primarily on-site, particularly during the initial onboarding and ramp-up period.
- Some flexibility may be considered in the future based on business needs and individual performance.
- Candidates should be prepared to work full-time on-site; work from home is not being considered at this time.
- Candidates will be expected to provide and use their own laptop and equipment for the duration of the engagement.
