Our Class 1 PPM Drivers are responsible for safely transporting freight, completing timely pickups and deliveries, and maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.

Routes and operating areas will vary depending on the assigned location and operational requirements.

Position Summary

CommerceLink Logistics is looking for dedicated and safety-oriented Class 1, Pay Per Mile Drivers to join our team at our Calgary and Nisku Locations in Alberta

Openings Available:

Nisku LCV PPM – 4 Open Positions

Calgary PPM – 11 Open Positions

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on assigned routes
- Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Ensure proper securement of all loads in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper logbooks, with E-Logs preferred
- Comply with all applicable provincial and Canadian transportation regulations, including Hours of Service
- Communicate effectively with Dispatch regarding routes, delays, and updates
- Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations
- Report incidents, delays, equipment concerns, and mechanical issues promptly




- Follow all CommerceLink Logistics policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Clean driver’s abstract and strong safety record
- Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Knowledge of local and regional routes
- Experience with dry van, reefer, and heater equipment is an asset
- Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations

LCV Additional qualifications

- 1 year of LCV prior experience is required for positions involving LCV operations
- - Experience building and breaking LCV sets is required for positions involving LCV operations

Working Conditions

- Home-daily opportunities may be available depending on the assigned location and route
- Routes and schedules may vary depending on location and operational requirements
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Driving in varied weather and road conditions
- Long periods of sitting with occasional physical work, including load securement and inspections
