Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customers site.
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Saskatoon, SK).
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Completing repair activities on generators or components
- Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of service
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
- High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
- Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
- Basic Diesel Engine experience.
- Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
- Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a current ATS installation.
- On call rotation required.
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification
- Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
- Customer service experience
