Commercial Cleaner – RONA Vernon

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Commercial Cleaner to provide routine janitorial services at the RONA Vernon location. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities

- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and auto-scrub designated floor areas.
- Clean and sanitize customer and employee washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
- Empty garbage receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean entrances and vestibules, including doors, glass, handles, mats, and surrounding floor areas.
- Clean staff break rooms and office areas, including tables, counters, sinks, chairs, and exterior surfaces of appliances.
- Dust and wipe accessible surfaces, fixtures, ledges, and designated areas as required.
- Spot-clean spills, stains, fingerprints, and other visible marks.
- Restock washroom supplies and other consumables when required.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and properly.
- Use cleaning chemicals and products in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace safety requirements.
- Place appropriate safety signage when performing wet-floor cleaning or when hazards are present.
- Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages.




- Complete assigned cleaning duties consistently and within the scheduled shift.
- Maintain professional conduct while working around RONA customers, employees, and management.

Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Comfortable operating commercial cleaning equipment; training may be provided where necessary.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Professional and respectful attitude in a customer-facing retail environment.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the RONA Vernon location.
