Job Summary The Team The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre is a program of Provincial Services Division of the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The Maples is a designated provincial mental health facility providing on-site, community, outreach and ancillary services to collaboratively support young people, families and communities. The Maples provides services for young people aged 7 – 17 struggling with severe and enduring mental health challenges as well as young people found Not Criminally Responsible by Reason of a Mental Disorder (NCRMD) or Unfit to Stand Trial under the Criminal Code of Canada & Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Additional services include community consultation service, training/capacity building opportunities and ongoing sharing of current literature. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, our objective is to collaboratively enhance the capacity of communities to plan and care for challenging young people through a closer to home focus.

The Role

Reporting directly to an excluded manager, the Maples Scheduler, coordinates and assigns the scheduling of Maples staff to ensure appropriate services to young people, based on their care plan, and in compliance with collective agreements.

Scheduler relies on advanced administrative and relationship management skills to provide coordination across the Maples.

Scheduler is primarily responsible for scheduling Nurses, Child Care Counsellors, Auxiliary (casual) employees, and Shift Supervisors.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

- Diploma in project management, business administration, public administration, or a related field and 2 years **related experience; OR
- Certificate or coursework in project management or a related field and 3 years **related experience; OR




- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Related experience may include each of the following:

- Minimum one-year experience using Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) in an office or administrative setting.
- Experience working with business applications including user support, data analysis, data integrity, administrative functions, and troubleshooting.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

- Previous scheduling experience in a complex environment (e.g., 24/7 bed-based facility, service delivery operation, unionized organization).
- Experience interpreting legislation, policies, and procedure pertaining to a business (e.g., HR legislation, collective agreements, labour laws, technology policies, contract interpretation, etc.)

About this Position:

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
