Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our small machine shop. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical background, proficiency with the set up and operation of Haas milling machines. This role involves setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to detailed specifications.

Candidates should possess excellent blueprint reading skills, familiarity with CAD would be a bonus, and the ability to work with hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers. A thorough knowledge of tooling and work holding is essential.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate Haas CNC machinery including CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components.
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and other guages to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models created in SolidWorks or other CAD software.




- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety standards and lean manufacturing practices.
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts are assembled accurately according to specifications.

Skills

- Extensive experience operating Haas milling machines.
- Experience with 4 and 5 axis is a bonus as is knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise machining tasks.
- Familiarity with machining tools such as calipers, hand tools, power tools.
- Good understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality control standards. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
