Our client is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System.Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.DescriptionThe REM Infrastructure Solution Architect reports to the Director, Strategy and Corporate Services and is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving the clients cloud and container infrastructure platforms. This role goes beyond theoretical architecture; requiring strong hands‐on experience, practical decision‐making, and active collaboration with management and delivery teams. This role requires to not only architect the solution but take it to the implementation. Operating in a highly regulated, mission‐critical workplace, the architect ensures infrastructure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost‐efficient, while supporting key functions such as market operations, grid reliability, and corporate services.This individual acts as the primary technical authority for Kubernetes, infrastructure, cloud and network architecture, and plays a critical role in translating business needs into implementable, real‐world solutions by defining enterprise infrastructure standards, capacity planning and embedding cloud‐native and DevOps practices across theIT Solution Delivery Lifecycle.The initial contract will be for one year, working between 20 – 40 hours per week, with the possibility of extension. We support a hybrid work environment, where the team is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
