About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community SupportWorkers to support individuals with diverse abilities, complex needs, and highbehavioral support requirements. In this role, you will provide person-centeredcare, assist with daily living activities, promote independence, supportcommunity inclusion, and help create a safe and positive environment throughrespectful and trauma-informed approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide person-centered care and support toindividuals with diverse physical, developmental, and mental health needs,promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
- Assist clients with personal care, includingbathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, peri-care, continence care, andchanging, while respecting each individual's privacy, dignity, and preferences.
- Support clients with household tasks, includingmeal planning and preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping,and maintaining a clean and safe living setting.
- Support clients in participating in community,recreational and social activities to encourage inclusion, build life skills,and enhance quality of life.




- Implement individualized care plans, monitorclients' physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being, and communicate anychanges or concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including dailyprogress notes, medication records, and incident reports, while followingorganizational policies and health and safety procedures.

About You

Qualifications

- Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma orequivalent education and/or relevant experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid with CPR C
- Valid TB Test
- MANDT Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Skills and Abilities

- Experience with FASD, ADHD, OCD, autismspectrum, aggressive, challenging, and self-harming behaviour considered anasset.
- Experience in a medical setting with G/J-tubeand/or trach care knowledge an asset.
- Ability to support individuals with personalcare needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, peri-care, and mobilityassistance.
- Ability to assist with household tasks,including meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a safe and supportiveliving environment.
- Ability to work independently while alsocollaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong understanding of person-centered care,trauma-informed practices, and positive behavior support strategies.
