Contract Instructor – French Children’s Yoga & Mindfulness

Earth & OM is expanding our programming in French-language schools and childcare centres across the Greater Toronto Area.

We are looking for passionate, reliable, and engaging French-speaking Children's Yoga & Mindfulness Instructors to join our growing network of independent contract instructors.

About the Role

You will lead engaging, age-appropriate yoga and mindfulness sessions in French for children in French-language schools, childcare centres, camps, community programs, and private events.

Sessions may include

- Children's yoga and movement
- Breathing exercises and mindfulness
- Relaxation and visualization
- Yoga games, music, and storytelling
- Partner and group activities
- Sensory and mindfulness activities
- Age-appropriate social-emotional learning

Programming should be engaging, inclusive, playful, and accessible to children of different ages and abilities. Who We're Looking For The ideal instructor is:
- Fluent in French
- Comfortable leading an entire children's session in French
- Experienced working with children
- Warm, energetic, patient, and engaging
- Confident independently leading groups
- Professional and reliable
- Comfortable communicating with educators and school staff in French
- Passionate about children's wellness
- Comfortable travelling throughout the GTA

Qualifications & Requirements A background in one or more of the following is an asset:
- Children's Yoga
- Yoga Teacher Training / RYT
- Early Childhood Education
- Education / Teaching
- Child & Youth Care
- Recreation
- Mindfulness
- Dance, movement, or fitness

Required:

- Fluency in French
- Experience working with children
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Commercial/general liability insurance appropriate for independent yoga instruction




- Ability to provide proof of insurance and required documentation before beginning programming

Independent Contractor This is an independent contract position.

Contract instructors are responsible for maintaining their own:

- Liability insurance
- Professional certifications
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Transportation to and from programming locations
- Applicable business and tax obligations

Instructors are responsible for determining their own availability and accepting programming opportunities that fit their schedule.

Compensation

$35–$50 per session, depending on session length, experience, location, and program type.

Rates will be confirmed for each contracted program before the instructor accepts the booking.

Programming Hours

Programming may take place during:

- Weekday mornings
- School hours
- Afternoons
- After-school programming
- PA Days
- Camps and special events
