Garden River First Nation is looking for a Full time Custodian to provide daily clinical cleaning of the Garden River Wellness Centre and routine cleaning of the Dan Pine Healing Lodge, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for staff and visitors.

What You Will Do

- Minimum six (6) months of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required
- Perform daily clinical cleaning of the Garden River Wellness Centre and routine cleaning of the Dan Pine Healing Lodge
- Clean restrooms
- Maintain an ongoing inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products, and submit the list quarterly to the Program Supervisor for approval and ordering
- Report any furnishings, materials, or equipment requiring repair or replacement to the Supervisor
- Maintain health and safety procedures in accordance with prescribed policies
- Keep up to date on cleaning products and assist with ordering supplies
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Required Skills

- Minimum six (6) months of experience performing cleaning duties and using cleaning materials, equipment, and techniques is required




- Ability to work weekends and/or after hours on occasion
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the duration of the shift
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, pull, carry, and climb stairs
- Clear CPIC records check as a condition of employment
- Knowledge, understanding, and experience of First Nation culture, values, and traditions
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
