Job Title: Custom Cabinetry / Millwork Project Manager

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC (100% On-Site)

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $50,000–$100,000 per year + performance-based bonus

✨ About UrbanVista Cabinets

Headquartered in Port Coquitlam, BC, UrbanVista Cabinets is a custom cabinetry manufacturer with over 20 years of experience serving Greater Vancouver and surrounding markets.

We specialize in high-end residential custom cabinetry and architectural millwork, including kitchens, bathroom vanities, walk-in closets, built-ins, wine cellars, and whole-home cabinetry.

With our own local manufacturing facility, in-house design capabilities, and dedicated installation team, we manage projects from concept and drawings through production, delivery, and final installation. Our clients include homeowners, interior designers, builders, contractors, and developers.

We are now looking for an experienced Custom Cabinetry / Millwork Project Manager to take ownership of projects after the sales handoff and ensure they move smoothly through design, production, delivery, installation, and final completion.

This is not a sales position. We are looking for someone who understands how custom cabinetry and millwork projects actually get built and delivered.

✨ What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

Project Handoff & Ownership: Take over confirmed projects from the sales team. Review project scope, measurements, drawings, specifications, client expectations, and committed timelines before moving the project forward.

Project Planning & Scheduling: Establish clear project milestones and maintain accurate project status in our internal management system. Keep design, production, delivery, and installation stages moving in the correct sequence.

Site Coordination: Coordinate and, when required, participate in site measurements, site verification, and project readiness checks. Identify dimensional conflicts, site conditions, or missing information before they become production or installation problems.

Design Coordination: Work closely with cabinet designers to ensure they receive complete and accurate site dimensions, appliance specifications, material selections, client requirements, and revision information. Track drawing revisions and client approvals.

Production Coordination:

Act as the communication bridge between the front office and our Production Manager. Monitor production progress, material requirements, and potential delays while respecting established production schedules and priorities.

Delivery & Installation Coordination: Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with clients, contractors, and our in-house installation team. Ensure the site is ready and required information is confirmed before installation.

Change & Risk Management: Identify potential problems early, document scope changes, coordinate change orders where required, and prevent communication gaps from becoming costly delays or rework.

Project Closeout: Follow projects through final installation, deficiencies or adjustments, client sign-off, and completion. Ensure outstanding items are documented and resolved.

Client & Trade Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with homeowners, interior designers, builders, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

✨ What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)

Industry Experience: 3+ years of project management or project coordination experience in custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, woodworking, interior construction, or a closely related field is strongly preferred. Candidates with 5+ years of direct cabinetry or millwork experience will be highly valued.

Technical Understanding: Able to read and understand cabinetry drawings, elevations, architectural plans, and shop drawings. Good knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, hardware, site conditions, and installation processes is a solid asset.

Full-Cycle Project Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from drawings and site coordination through production and installation.

Manufacturing Awareness: Experience working with a custom manufacturing environment is highly preferred. You should understand that design decisions, field dimensions, production capacity, material lead times,

and installation conditions are interconnected.

Problem-Solving: Able to recognize problems early, determine what information is missing, coordinate the right people, and keep projects moving without creating unnecessary urgency or confusion.

Organization & Accountability: Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines, documentation, and follow-up across multiple active projects.

Communication & Teamwork: Professional English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with sales, designers, production staff, installers, clients, and contractors. We value calm, collaborative people who respect clear processes and shared resources.

Software: Experience with project management/ERP systems is preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or similar cabinetry/design software is an asset but not required.

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Greater Vancouver
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Able to work full-time from our Port Coquitlam office and manufacturing facility

✨ Compensation & Perks

- $50,000–$100,000 annual base salary, depending on direct industry experience and technical capability
- Performance-based bonus tied to project delivery, coordination quality, and overall performance
- Free on-site parking
- Team events
- Significant employee discounts on cabinetry for personal home projects
- Long-term growth opportunity within an established custom cabinetry manufacturer

✨ How to Apply Please send your resume to [email protected].

If possible, include a brief description of the types of cabinetry, millwork, construction, or renovation projects you have managed, the approximate number of projects you typically handled at one time, and any relevant project management or cabinetry software experience.

We are not looking for someone whose role is simply to “follow up.”

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a project, understand where it stands, anticipate what comes next, coordinate the right people, and bring it from confirmed order to successful installation.

- If you understand both the details and the bigger picture of custom cabinetry project delivery, we would like to hear from you.
