Our client, a leader in the production of building materials, is looking for a licensed Electrician to join their team in Mississauga on the day shift- Monday to Friday 6:30am-2:30pm.

Responsibilities

- Repair critical electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades.
- Repair or replace control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contractors, motor starts, thermocouples etc. as needed.
- Responsible for making PLC program changes, installations or updates to maintain proper operations.
- Detecting, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in all types of equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical functions.
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including conveyors and/or cranes.




- Comply with the Electrical Safety Authority, all legislated and company health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs, including lockout/tagout.

Required Qualifications

- Successful candidates must have related electrical maintenance experience in an Industrial setting.
- Candidates require certification as an Industrial Electrician (442A) or as a Construction Electrician (309A) and strong background in PLC maintenance.
- Previous crane, conveyor, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance experience is a definite asset.
- Possesses skill in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, especially electrical drawing.
