Dental Assistant DA II (Pediatric Office)

Pediatric Dental office is looking for Dental Assistant Level II with 2-3 years of experience.Pediatric experience an asset.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Experienced Level II Dental Assistant (Level II Diploma or have NDAEB Certificate)

- Ideally have 2/3years of experience

- Pediatric experience preferred

- Tracker experience preferred

- Enjoy working with kids

LOCATION: Keele & St. Clair (Free Parking)

HOURS: 3-4 weekdays 8-5 & 2 Sat per month 8-2

COMPENSATION: $26-$32/hr depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

- Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials

- Sterilizing instruments

- Assisting dentist with crowns, fillings, sealants,extractions,floride treatments etc.





- Placement and removal of rubber dams

- Taking x-rays of patients' teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays

- Using suction and swabs to keeppatients' mouths explicit and dry during procedures

- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models

- Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics

- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording theinformation for dentist's reference

- Advising patients on dental care, oralhygiene and plaque control programs

- Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before,during and after dental treatment
