Dental office in Georgetown is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Experienced Dental Assistant
- Must have minimum of 2-3yearsof experience
- Abeldent knowledge/experience an asset

LOCATION:

Georgetown

HOURS:

Ideally work 1 or 2 evenings but versatile - finish usually 6:30/7 or can do part-time 3 days leave at 2:30 and 2nd DA start later
- Mon (8-5)

Tues (9-7)

Wed (9-7)

Thurs (9-7)

Fri (8-2)

COMPENSATION:

- $25-$30depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

- Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
- Sterilizing instruments
- Assisting dentist with crowns, bridges,porcelainveneers, dental implants, invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings,extractionsandmouthguards




- Placement and removal of rubber dams
- Taking x-rays of patients' teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
- Using suction and swabs to keeppatients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models
- Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording theinformation for dentist's reference
- Advising patients on dental care, oralhygiene and plaque control programs
- Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before,during and after dental treatment
