Position Overview Designer I – Burnaby, BC. Assist in the design and order processing of centrifugal pumps, components, and equipment within Sulzer’s Engineering Department. Immediate opening for a junior‑level engineer.

Key Responsibilities - Assist in design and order processing of centrifugal pumps, components, and equipment.

- Prepare engineering drawings using CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, Medusa).
- Provide engineering drawing control with Teamcenter.
- Create and manage Bills of Materials within SAP.
- Perform stress analysis as required.
- Coordinate with suppliers and other departments to clarify design requirements.
- Assign and check the work of others, and prepare design reports or notes.
- Handle special engineering tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Support and comply with the company‑wide EHS Management System.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical Design Technology.





- One to two years of experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP and Teamcenter is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Assignment

This is a permanent position; the primary work location is an office with occasional exposure to the manufacturing workshop.
