That's where you come in. Design researchers shape the experiences we create through each of our digital products.You'll work with a cross functional group of designers, product managers and developers. Embedded in a product, journey or channel, you will identify upcoming decisions that need research inputs, propose methodologies, carry out fieldwork, analyse, and socialize the implications.We believe that research is not to be a silo or a black box that outputs 'insights', if you believe this as well, we can achieve this together by working closely with the rest of the team to ensure they are participating along each step of the way.What will you do?Defining research strategy and methodologies; Creating test plans and aligning them with stakeholders; Leading research execution and synthesis; Presenting insights to stakeholders and providing design recommendations based on those insights.What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role?None of these are essential, but they will be using the following tools: Maze, Alida, Confluence, Mural, Figma.Must-have SkillsProficient in qualitative and quantitative methods with rigorous study design and ethical practices; Ability to connectuser insights to business objectives and influence product strategy; Can translate research findings into compelling stories that drive decision-making across diverse audiences; Synthesizes complex dataacross studies to identify patterns and inform strategic decisions.BA/BS degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Studies, Design (e.G. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial),
Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experienceA minimum of 3 years of experience in researchTechnical understanding of design research theory / design research toolsWorking knowledge of a variety of design research methodologiesExperience working on cross-functional teamsNice-to-have SkillsExperience working within digital product teams; Experience workingin the financial sector or adjacent industries (insurance, government); Experience with data visualization & analytics tools.Experience coaching designers on best research practices; Experience with emergingAI-enabled research methodologies.MA/MS degree or certification in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Studies, Design (e.G. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related fieldAppreciation for the potential of 'design thinking'Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environmentExperience contributing to the launch of a digital productStrong communication and presentation skills, ability to collaborate with other designers and cross-functional team members, ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships.
