Traditional Learning Academy Online is currently recruiting Educational Assistants (EAs) to support students in our individualized learning programs. This role offers the prospect to work one-on-one or in small groups with students engaged in online and therapeutic center-based learning environments. EAs are vital members of a collaborative team that includes children, families, and TLA school staff.

Key Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Inclusive Education (IE) Teacher, the Educational Assistant (EA) will support student development through the following duties:

- Therapeutic Centre Environment: Assist students within the therapeutic centre on both IEP and curricular goals. This may also include: providing support for specialized needs including personal care (toileting), feeding, and lifting as requested by the IE Teacher.

- Online Support: Support students engaged in online learning by tutoring and facilitating engagement with individualized programs.

- Instructional Support: Modify and prepare specialized teaching materials,



compile and update student records, and monitor student behavior.

- Collaboration: Work closely with TLA teachers and families to provide individualized support tailored to the student's goals.

Qualifications Required:

- A certificate from a recognized post-secondary college (Special Education Teaching Assistant or equivalent).

- Proven background in supporting students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.

- Proficiency in computer tools including Gmail, Google Drive, and video conferencing.

- Strong written and oral English communication skills and a commitment to inclusive education.

- A valid Ministry of Justice criminal record check.
