Electrical Service Technician

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team in Vancouver, BC. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer service across commercial and residential service calls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, completing repairs and installations, performing maintenance work, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with applicable electrical codes and company standards.

Responsibilities

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems and equipment

· Complete service calls in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments

· Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical components and systems

· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

· Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and safety regulations

· Communicate professionally with customers, site supervisors, and project teams

· Maintain accurate service records and documentation

· Participate in on-call or after-hours service rotation if required

Qualifications

· Journeyman Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred)





· Valid BC driver’s license with clean abstract

· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities

· Experience with service work and customer-facing roles

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

· Knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems

· Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Assets

· Experience with lighting controls, fire alarm systems, or HVAC controls

· Experience working in occupied residential or commercial buildings

· First Aid certification

· Fall Protection or Elevated Work Platform certifications
