Job Title: Senior UX Designer (IT - UX Designer - Senior) Position Title: Senior UX Designer Line of Business: Public Website Design Team Work Location: downtown Toronto, near TTC and GO Office Location: 81 Bay Street Start/End Dates: 8/17/2026 - 2/10/2027 Target Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 months Target rate range: $75-80hr B2B Potential for this contract to be extended or converted to FTE? Extension: yes / Conversion: Possible Hybrid: 1 to 2 days per week in office (currently Wednesdays plus third Friday of each month) Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 9-5/ 37.5 hours Potential for OT? No What does the LOB do: Design and maintain unauthenticated public-facing websites for CIBC and its affiliates (CIBC.com, Simplii Financial, Investor’s Edge, Wealth, CIBC US Bank, Insurance, etc.). Focused on delivering high-quality UX, visual, and content design for enterprise-wide digital properties. Reason the role is open: Backfill a Sr UX designer that is leaving What project will this contractor be working on? Public site projects across various lines of business (Deposit Products & CC, Wealth, US Bank, Simplii, Advice+) Team Size? Team organized into 9 pods; each pod includes UX, Visual, and Content Designers, plus extended team members (SEO, Accessibility, Dev, etc.) Overall, close to 50 designers on the project team. 5–7+ years of UX experience in digital space (responsive web design) Job Description

As a Sr UX Designer, you will join CIBC’s Public Website Design team, working on projects for CIBC’s customer-facing properties such as CIBC.com, Simplii Financial, Investor’s Edge, Wealth, and CIBC US Bank. You’ll leverage your UX expertise to lead design tasks from research to wireframes, workshops, testing, and polished presentations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to design systems and frameworks. You will be open to learning new technologies, such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS, Confluence/Jira, Office 365. In addition to leadership, you will have a good understanding of CSS and HTML, strong collaboration, communication, presentation, time-management and organization skills — able to work closely with your team on multiple initiatives at once and apply prioritization accordingly. Must Have Requirement

5–7+ years of UX experience in digital space (responsive web design) Formal UX training and strong portfolio Proficiency in Figma Experience running workshops and conducting UX research (Maze, Usertesting.com) Familiarity with analytics tools (Adobe Analytics) Nice to Have

Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Worked for financial institutions or agencies Robust understanding of visual design principles Soft Skills

Strong communication skills Can articulate their design decisions in an organized and concise manner Is a strong presenter (oral and visual) Has experience running workshops Additional Information
