Performs a variety of tasks such as construction designs, work methods & techniques and various assignments requiring a good knowledge of an area of engineering are carried out with limited supervision. Mature judgment is required in planning and performing assignments and achieving prescribed objectives.Key Accountabilities:

Works on large projects or more complicated parts of smaller projects.

Provides technical advice in assigned area.

Reviews and makes independent studies, analysis, interpretations and conclusions relating to assigned projects.

Carries out responsible and varied engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.

Identifies risk and mitigating activities. Identifies barriers to implementation and plans accordingly

Applies Process Safety Standards in development of design and execution of Change Management

Participates in planning, design development, construction of producing facilities, reviewing and analyzing operating conditions and performance.

Develops solutions to routine but complex problems.

Problems usually solved by use of combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures or method developed in previous assignments.

Uses independent judgement in the selection, organization and adaptation of work methods.

May give technical guidance to more junior engineers or technicians assigned to work on common project, and act as mentor to more junior engineers

Difficult, complex or unusual matters or decisions are usually referred to more senior authority.

Sets reasonable objectives and plans to achieve in the medium term (1 year)

Minimum Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Engineering,



Applied Science or equivalent with 1+ years' work experience.

General familiarity with engineering and/or a sound knowledge sound knowledge of engineering principles within a specific field, along with the knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields

Requires strong interpersonal & communications skills to deal with management & technical staff in a positive & constructive manner

Positive knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements
