In-Person English Tutor

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate English Tutor to provide personalized, in-person instruction to students in Grades 1–12. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, patient, and confident teaching reading, writing, grammar, and speaking while supporting students following the Ontario curriculum.

Responsibilities

● Deliver engaging one-on-one or small-group in-person lessons.

● Teach speaking, grammar, reading, and writing.

● Prepare lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and aligned with the curriculum.

● Support students with homework and schoolwork.

● Monitor progress and communicate with parents when needed.

● Maintain lesson notes.

Qualifications

● Strong English skills and transparent communication.





● Experience teaching or tutoring is preferred.

● Reliable, patient, and passionate about helping students succeed.

● Comfortable teaching in person at our Unionville location.

● Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset.

● Experience teaching gifted or accelerated classes is an asset

● Location: 4418 Highway 7, Unionville, ON

● Session type: One-on-one or small group

● Grade levels: Grade 1 to Grade 12

● Schedule: Evening shifts and weekend availability; minimum one shift per week

● Pay: $20–30 per hour

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
