Enhance mental health support as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse focusing on Aboriginal care with Fraser Health. This role involves providing holistic nursing services to improve recovery-oriented care.
As part of the community mental health team, your role will consist of assessing mental statuses and creating collaborative, person-centered care strategies. You will need to engage actively with clients, families, and community partners, ensuring that care practices are culturally sensitive and effective. Your contributions are vital to facilitating access to mental health resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess clients’ mental health and develop individual treatment plans
• Organize and conduct culturally relevant mental health education
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support to clients




• Connect clients with mental health and community services
• Maintain thorough documentation of nursing actions and patient outcomes
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing School
• At least two years of relevant mental health experience
• Current registration with BCCNM as a nurse
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and reliable access to a vehicle
• Robust understanding of Aboriginal community health practices
