Through fundraising, stakeholder partnerships, and strategic investments, the Foundation works alongside the Edmonton Police Service and community organizations to create meaningful impact across the city.

Position Overview The Edmonton Police Foundation is seeking a agile and community-focused Executive Director to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership, advancing fundraising initiatives, building strong community partnerships, and ensuring the effective management of the Foundation's operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nonprofit leader who is passionate about community development, relationship building, and driving measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Lead the execution of the Foundation's strategic plan and organizational priorities.
- Advise and support the Board of Directors in achieving the Foundation's mission and goals.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and community impact.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Fundraising & Resource Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, government agencies, and community partners.
- Lead major gift development, sponsorship opportunities, grant funding initiatives, and donor stewardship activities.
- Expand and diversify revenue sources to support long-term sustainability.

Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Serve as the primary ambassador and spokesperson for the Foundation.




- Build strong relationships with community organizations, corporate partners, government stakeholders, and the Edmonton Police Service.
- Represent the Foundation at meetings, events, and public engagements.
- Promote awareness of the Foundation's mission, programs, and impact.

Operational & Financial Leadership
- Manages the Foundation's day-to-day operations and administration.
- Ensure sound financial management, budgeting, and reporting practices.
- Monitor organizational performance and maintain effective policies, processes, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and governance requirements.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring:

- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Fundraising, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in the nonprofit, charitable, public, or community sector.
- Proven success in fundraising, sponsorship development, donor relations, and partnership building.
- Experience working with or supporting a Board of Directors.
- Strong financial management and strategic planning skills.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive organizational growth.
- Knowledge of nonprofit governance, charitable sector regulations, and best practices is considered an asset.
