Availability Required: Must be available any day of the week, between 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Columbus Café is hiring an experienced Barista who can confidently operate in a fast-paced café workplace with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level role; we’re looking for someone who brings skill, efficiency, and consistency to every shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare espresso-based beverages and specialty drinks to standard
- Maintain consistency in espresso extraction, milk steaming, and drink quality
- Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume setting
- Operate POS system, manage orders, and handle transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar area
Requirements:
- Previous barista experience in a café or coffee shop required
- Strong knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and drink preparation
- Ability to work independently and under pressure during peak hours
- Professional, friendly demeanour with strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to required availability
- Comfortable using POS systems
Additional Notes:
- Some training on our menu and systems will be provided
- This role is not suited for beginners learning barista fundamentals
