[2026-2027] Anteater Recreation Center Advisory Board Application

Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) Advisory Board Description The Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) Advisory Board was established in 1996 as a means of providing guidance to the ARC administration in regard to the operation of the building’s facilities. The ARC Advisory Board serves to represent the student body as a whole and present necessary feedback on new policies, activities, or anything else that may affect users of the facility such as service schedules and membership concerns.

Board membership will consist of seven (7) Undergraduate students appointed by ASUCI. The term of membership for the student members shall be one year. The term of membership shall commence on the first day following commencement in June, and any member can be reappointed.

Expectations And Responsibilities

- Attend meetings and be active on the ARC Board committees
- Make recommendations to the Anteater Recreation Center Director regarding the improvement of operations
- Develop operating policy recommendations for review by the board.

- The Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) Advisory Board consists of many campus members, including undergraduate student representatives, to advise the Director of the ARC on its operations, facilities, and budget.

- The ARC Board representative serves as a liaison between the undergraduate student body and the Director of the ARC. What steps would you take to connect with students who use the ARC to receive feedback and share information? (250-500 words).*
- The ARC Board looks at comments and feedback left by ARC users in the suggestion boxes as a part of its advisory duties. What is one initiative (event, project, etc.) you would recommend the board undertake during the 2026-2027 school year?*
