To learn more about us, please visit: https://www.Hsb.CaPrimary ObjectivesWorking in a collaborative and energetic team environment, the Account Executive will provide underwriting expertise and contribute to the profitable growth of the Risk-Managed Equipment Breakdown book of business. As a member of the Technical Risk Underwriting Solutions Team (TRusT), the Account Executive will join a motivated, client-centric, and solution-driven team that values technical excellence and teamwork.Reporting to the AVP of TRusT, the Account Executive will work closely with prominent brokers from major hubs in Canada, supporting risk-managed clients with a strong emphasis on inspections and engineering.This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned underwriter with a strong background in equipment breakdown underwriting of large and complex risks, excellent client relationship management skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.Job ResponsibilitiesReview, analyze,



and profitably underwrite new and renewal business for the Risk-Managed Equipment Breakdown portfolio in accordance with the Company's underwriting and compliance guidelinesDevelop bespoke insurance solutions for new and existing clientsActively support and contribute to the development and execution of underwriting and marketing strategies for the portfolioDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key regional and national broker partners and clientsWork closely and establish strong business partnerships with internal stakeholders; including engineering, inspections, and claims to better service clientsPositively represent HSB Canada to the market and at industry functionsContribute to various assigned projects, ensuring successful completion and alignment with team goalsQualificationsA College or University degree/diploma or equivalent is requiredProfessional certifications such as CIP and/or CRM are considered an asset3+ years' experience in technical underwriting of large Equipment Breakdown risksIn-depth knowledge of the Equipment Breakdown productProficiency in pricing methodologies and experience with manuscript wordingsStrong marketing and relationship management skillsExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholdersAdvanced analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage time across competing responsibilitiesProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applicationsWillingness and flexibility to travel as requiredCompany BenefitsTogether, we engage with everything we have and are, to help humankind act braver and better.
