Our team is currently hiring for an existing vacancy, a permanent full-time Financial Analyst.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Preparation of accurate monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring timely reporting of all financial information.
-Provides proactive financial guidance and drives financial and operational improvements by leveraging internal and external data through financial planning and analysis.
-Preparation of audit files and liaisons with auditors to ensure completion of year-end audits.
-Completion of all Ministry reporting, such as the Annual Reconciliation Report (ARR), MIS, staffing reports, etc.
-Preparation of monthly budgets and forecasting reports to support business decision-making.
-Assists in periodic and ad-hoc report preparation and analysis.
-Provides support for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll related functions, as required.
-Interfaces with other departments and homes for verification of data and to ensure proper financial procedures are being followed.
-Responds to inquiries related to financial results.
-Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-A recognized degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
-Must have a minimum of three (3) year’s working experience in full cycle accounting, preferably in the long-term care sector.
-Demonstrated knowledge in financial planning and analysis, with the ability to drive business outcomes. -Must possess a sound knowledge of the Ministry of Long-Term Care reporting standards.
-Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
-Must posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Demonstrated experience with large, automated accounting systems and individuals who have a CPA designation or are working towards their CPA designation are preferred.
-All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
