Duties

- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other securing devices to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brakes, tires, lights, and load security equipment, ensuring optimal operation
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, following proper safety procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery logs




- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly for timely repairs

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with flatbed trucks or heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securing techniques
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
- Strong communication skills to coordinate deliveries and ensure customer satisfaction
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, climb onto trucks, and perform inspections as needed
