About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic e-commerce team. This role is pivotal in enhancing and expanding our digital platforms, including our flagship website, rona.ca. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will work within an Agile Scrum environment to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable and high-quality e-commerce solutions that serve millions of customers across Canada.

This position requires an individual with strong expertise in modern full-stack technologies, particularly React, Node.js, and Next.js. The candidate will also have the opportunity to learn and master the KIBO platform, which is instrumental in powering our e-commerce ecosystem. While previous experience with KIBO is not mandatory, comprehensive onboarding and training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition and successful integration into our technological landscape.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 6 years of qualified software development experience with a focus on ReactJS, Node.js, and Next.js (v14+).
- Strong understanding of micro-frontend architectures and building scalable web applications.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs; experience with GraphQL is considered an asset.
- Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and state management libraries such as Redux and Immutable.js.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, linters, bundlers, and automated deployment practices.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
- Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
- Understanding of SEO best practices within an e-commerce context.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments using tools such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, VS Code, and SonarQube.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong problem-solving mindset and ownership attitude.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions that align with evolving business needs utilizing ReactJS, Node.js, and Next.js.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Build and integrate scalable RESTful APIs and backend services to support front-end functionalities.
- Collaborate effectively with UX designers, product managers, QA teams,



and other technology stakeholders to deliver seamless and robust user experiences.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, security, performance, and scalability across all projects.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and document issues encountered in production and non-production environments.
- Contribute to system testing, deployment planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, technical design discussions, and team knowledge sharing.
