Gas Station Attendant – Full-Time & Part-Time

Pay: $17.60 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for reliable, responsible, and customer-focused Gas Station Attendants to join our team at a busy gas station and convenience store in Whitby.

The ideal candidate is punctual, friendly, attentive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

You will play an important role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the store and gas station remain clean, safe, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, professional, and effective customer service
- Process customer transactions accurately, including fuel, convenience store purchases, lottery, tobacco, and other products
- Follow all ID verification and age-restriction requirements for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products
- Ensure lottery tickets are properly signed and processed in accordance with company procedures
- Promote and process applicable loyalty programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
- Complete daily cleaning duties, including pumps, floors, counters, washrooms, and other assigned areas
- Follow scheduled cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Monitor the gas station and store for safety, security, and cleanliness
- Restock shelves, coolers, and other merchandise as required
- Receive and organize deliveries when required
- Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures
- Report maintenance, safety, inventory, or customer concerns to management
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned What

- Comfortable working rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment Previous gas station or convenience store experience in Ontario is strongly preferred.

Important Requirements Due to the nature of the position, employees must be able to consistently follow all legal and company requirements regarding:
- Age-restricted sales and ID verification
- Lottery sales and ticket validation

- Cash handling
- Workplace and fuel-station safety

- Cleaning and sanitation
- Customer service and loss prevention

Reliability and attendance are extremely important for this position.

Schedule

Employees will receive approximately 20–44 hours per week, depending on availability and business needs.

Flexible availability is an asset, particularly for candidates who can work a variety of shifts.

Experience

- Gas station or convenience store experience: 1 year preferred

- Cash/POS experience: an asset
- Customer service experience: an asset

Work Location Whitby, Ontario

– In person Candidates must have reliable transportation or the ability to commute to our Whitby location.
