Overview

We are seeking a dedicated General Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the team to remove tires, depollute, and prep vehicles for scrap, dismantling engines, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard area while supporting various operational tasks.

Duties

- Work closely with team to dismantle and depollute cars to prep for shred
- Working in an outdoor environment/ scrap yard workplace (uneven ground)
- Maintain a clean yard/ yard maintenance/ snow removal
- Run Errands as needed (retrieving tools/ hydraulic hoses/ couplings)
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and be on their feet for the length of the day
- Must be used to fast paced environments with attention to detail to ensure safety and accuracy
- Perform specialized tasks which will require on-the job training
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must arrive on time for daily shifts




- Must have reliable form of transportation
- Maintain all safety standards

Experience

- Exposure and Knowledge of operations of an automotive scrap yard is an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- MUST be Dependable & Punctual
- Attention to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
- Able to receive and follow multiple instructions at one time
- Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $22.00 per hour
