Panel Builder

Responsibilities

Verify In-Process Material Process:

· Verify that all product/panels being brought in to work area matches paperwork - ensure product numbers, descriptions and quantities match DETAIL/BUILD SHEET - check product for damage and clearly record any discrepancies or damages on paperwork received. Advise Supervision, Project Manager, if different.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of all hazardous materials according to WHMIS training, and manufacturer information - refer to MSDS when required

· Follow all procedures with respect to safe operating procedures, housekeeping, product inspection/verification procedures, loading and unloading procedures. Product must be stacked and stored in a manner in which damages will not be a result of poor storage. Use foam covered spacers to eliminate damages and remove all debris from pallets/skids. This means that the bottom of skids may have to be swept off. Spacers must be in-line with pallet stringers to eliminate potential damages.

· Handle sheets from skid, mobile table or A Frame Cart to work table by hand - use assistance when required.

· Assist other production personnel where applicable, to expedite delivery of product to customers (handle panels, gather extrusions, etc.)

· Must have a solid understanding of the use of basic hand and power tools. (file, pneumatic caulking gun, drill and rivet gun)

· Possess a basic understanding of panel drawings/layouts and follow instructions as related to the manufacturing/assembling of panels

Maintain Quality

· Maintain a basic understanding of quality control

· Inform Supervision immediately of any non-conformance’s and complete documents for any non-conformance’s, if applicable.

Communication





· Inform Supervision of any concerns which you have observed or have been brought to your attention that go beyond the scope of the Panel Builders responsibilities

· Contact appropriate personnel regarding discrepancies complete/forward all required documentation

Provide Resource Support

· Maintain a thorough understanding of all hazardous materials and their various affects

· Participate in job specific training and instruction as required on an ongoing basis (safe lift truck operating practices if applicable)

Health and Safety

· Follow all safe workplace activities related to health and safety

· Ensure that you work in a secure manner and wear all protective devices, as required by law or by Company policy and follow all procedures required by the Act and its regulations (Ontario Occupational Health And Safety Act)

· Advise any employee of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the worker

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

General

· Perform all clerical/data control functions of the job with accuracy in a neat, legible manner

· Ensure that any problems or concerns which occurred during the shift are addressed with the Supervision prior to leaving the facility

· Information of a confidential nature must not be divulged to any individuals or organizations outside of the management of Riverside Group

Perform all duties in accordance with company health and safety policy and all other rules/practices and policies and perform all other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
