Automotive Controller - Southtown Chrysler

Southtown Chrysler, part of Landsperg Automotive Group, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Automotive Controller.

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of the dealership, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing payroll, and providing timely reporting to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the accounting procedures and day-to-day financial operations of the dealership
- Maintain an accurate general ledger at all times
- Complete daily bank reconciliations
- Ensure daily deposits are completed and reconciled
- Complete weekly schedule audits
- Complete weekly floorplan audits
- Complete monthly Visa reconciliations
- Reconcile GST, F&I; remittances, VSA, levy payments, and other required monthly payments




- Complete monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and schedules
- Prepare bi-monthly payroll and submit required information to HR/payroll for processing
- Review, post, and reconcile new, used, and wholesale vehicle deals
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and supporting documentation
- Review and process new employee paperwork
- Provide monthly reporting to the CFO
- Oversee inventory audit counts
- Reconcile and post manufacturer statements
- Complete month-end expense analysis and month-end journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

- Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is required
- Previous Controller or Assistant Controller experience is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes, schedules, reconciliations, and month-end procedures
- Payroll preparation experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office

Experience:

- Automotive Controller: 2 years (required)

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
