Working closely with restaurant and venue managers, the Events Specialist is able to clearly communicate client details and requirements in a skilled manner. Administrative tasks and projects are always completed in a timely manner, with a high attention to detail.The day to day:Network and create relationships with new and current clientsCommunicate with clients, gather event details, prepare packages, and send event confirmation details to clientsFile and maintain post event information and receipts for events venues and Private Dining RoomsFollow up with clients using information from post events creating opportunity for new bookings and Moment’s of TruthShow a superior level of customer service through client feedback & repeat eventsEmphasize the details & knows the important questions to ask when planning an eventManage time effectively to meet weekly deadlines for BEOs and responds efficiency to client requestsCan identify a great piece of business & present to management for negotiationAnticipates the needs of the operations and kitchen side of the business unitQualificationsPost-secondary diploma/degree in Business or HospitalityMinimum 2 years’ experience coordinating a variety of events (inclusive of small, large and high profile functions)Previous experience with planning and executing private dining functions is preferablePrior understanding of equipment and event rentals is an assetPrior administrative experience and exposure to marketing and sales an assetProven ability to work in a team environment with self-motivation and independent work ethicExcellent oral and written communication skills and ability to engage clientsIT/Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office(Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)Fanatical attention to detail, strong organizational skills and sales abilityAbility to multi-task and maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum; excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks properlyLegally eligible to work in CanadaAdditional InformationThis is a current vacancy.Salary: $50,000- $56,000 + CommissionsCompensation: CAD 50000 - CAD 56000 - yearlyAI DisclosureTo ensure a fair and efficient recruitment process, some aspects of candidate screening may be conducted using AI software.
