G&S; Direct Ltd., situated at 2565 Rena Road, Mississauga, Ontario L4T 1G6, is currently looking for applications for the role of a Truck driver who is a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate must start work promptly. The available positions are for Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The shift times for this position are Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night and Weekend.

- The candidate must plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- The candidate must obtain special permits and other documents required for international cargo transport.
- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
- The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.

Job Requirements

- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.




- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have an AZ class license and an Air Brake Endorsement Certification.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.

Documentation knowledge

- The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, trans-border documentation and trip reports.

Transportation/travel experience

- The candidate must have transportation and travel experience at the local, national, provincial/territorial and regional levels.
- The candidate must have long-haul travel experience.

- The candidate must undergo a thorough driver's validity licence check, driving record check (abstract), and drug test.
