Now Hiring: Head Bartender (Full‑Time - Tuesday to Friday)

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 462 proudly supports Veterans, strengthens our community, and provides a welcoming space for all. We are seeking an experienced, professional, and leadership‑driven Head Bartender to oversee bar operations at: 294 Cyr Avenue, Vanier, Ontario K1L 7N7

About the Role

As Head Bartender, you will lead bar operations, uphold service excellence, and ensure a warm, respectful environment for members and guests. This role is ideal for a seasoned hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced setting and takes pride in maintaining high standards. This position is from Tuesday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily bar operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
- Shift scheduling while ensuring adequate staffing
- Coordinating facility bookings and preparing hall rental contracts.
- Receiving, recording, and tracking parking and membership payments.
- Train, mentor, and support bar staff in service standards and drink preparation
- Create and maintain cocktail specs, seasonal features, and bar menus
- Oversee inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness,



organization, and bar setup
- Ensure accurate cash handling and POS reconciliation
- Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with management for events, functions, and Legion activities
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning, prep, and closing duties
- Uphold the values and traditions of the Royal Canadian Legion

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years bartending experience
- Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and craft cocktails
- Ability to maintain consistency, speed, and professionalism
- Self‑starter with strong organizational and communication skills
- Bilingual (English & French) an asset
- Ability to perform moderate lifting: more than 10 lbs (4.5 kg) and less than 50 lbs (23 kg)
