HEATING PLANT CONTROLS SERVICE BUILDING 1.0 FTE - Permanent Under the supervision and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Heating
Plant Controls person is responsible for installing and maintaining fuel fired heating equipment, controls and related heating equipment within the Division;
performs preventive maintenance to hot water and steam heating systems; providing assistance to the Maintenance Supervisor; and other various duties.
Responsibilities Installs and maintains fuel fired heating equipment,
controls and related heating equipment with the Division
Performs preventive maintenance to hot water and steam heating systems
Informs Supervisor of work progress and provides estimates for labour, materials and delivery schedule costs for various projects
Forwards safety concerns as required
Communication with clients (school staff) and other
Building Department staff
Qualifications
- Complete secondary education with a Journeyman’s Steamfitter, Refrigeration or Plumber certificate and a valid “A” Gas Fitter license is
required
- Minimum Class 4 Power Engineer Certificate is considered an asset
- A minimum of four
years of related experience, including experience in reading and analyzing blueprints,
drawings and specifications, and determining labour, material and supply costs is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office considered an asset
- A valid Manitoba 5F class driver’s license and access to a
reliable vehicle is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office considered an asset
