The successful candidate will report to the Managing Editor and work varied shifts, including weekends. Your responsibilities will encompass writing and curating news content, producing local stories, and leveraging innovative techniques for digital reporting. Engage in collaborative news gathering with local and national teams while displaying creativity in multimedia storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write compelling news content for multiple newscasts
• Produce and edit stories for globalnews.ca




• Communicate breaking news with newsroom coordination
• Develop original and enterprising stories
• Advocate for digital journalism best practices
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in journalism required
• Minimum two years as a news producer/editor
• One year of reporting experience with proven on-air ability
• Strong writing and editing skills for various formats
• Valid driver's license with clear abstract
