Home Support Worker/In Home Caregiver For McKay Family/West Van Homecare

Elderly in West Vancouver is in need of an In Home Caregiver/Home Support Worker for elderly.

Job Location: 5690 Eagle Harbour Road West Vancouver, BC V7W 1P5

Workplace Information: On Site

Salary: 24.50 hourly / 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time

Employment Conditions: Flexible schedule, Overtime available

Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Staff accommodation provided, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Employer’s home

Responsibilities

Tasks: Administer bedside and personal care, Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Change non-sterile dressings, Feed or assist in feeding, Launder clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Provide companionship, Provide personal care, Shop for food and household supplies,



Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Cook

Experience and specialization

Target audience: Elderly, Persons with a disability, Persons with physical disabilities

Equipment and machinery experience: Lifting device

Additional information

Security and safety: Reference required

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Repetitive tasks

Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
