Position Summary

As a Housekeeper at The Sunshine Inn, you will play a vital role in ensuring an outstanding guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our property. Comprehensive cross-training will be provided across all housekeeping operations, including guest room preparation and laundry services.

This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, excel in a collaborative team environment, and can efficiently manage tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Guest Room Cleaning: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and restocking room amenities.
- Laundry Operations: Wash, dry, fold, sort, and organize hotel linens, towels, and bedding.
- Public Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, hallways, stairwells, and service closets.
- Inventory & Supplies:



Monitor housekeeping cart stock and report low supply levels or damaged items to management.
- Property Inspections: Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged room fixtures immediately.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical handling guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively alongside teammates as well as independently without constant supervision.
- Attention to Detail: High standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying items up to 30 lbs throughout a shift.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and flexibility to work variable shift schedules (including weekends and holidays as needed).
- Experience: Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is considered an asset, but full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude.
