Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations within our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction while leading a team of housekeeping staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a solid background in custodial services and facilities maintenance.

The Housekeeping

Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming workplace for all visitors and staff.

Duties

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company standards.
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, including custodial tools and facilities maintenance equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools to address minor repairs or facility upkeep needs.
- Oversee commercial cleaning tasks, ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations.
- Schedule work assignments, monitor performance, and provide feedback to team members to promote continuous improvement.




- Address customer service concerns related to cleanliness or facility issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure heavy lifting requirements are safely managed during cleaning or maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, supplies used, and maintenance performed.

Experience

- Proven experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is required.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a housekeeping or custodial setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment is essential for performing maintenance tasks effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment use, and facility upkeep.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple areas.
- Effective communication skills for training staff, coordinating with other departments, and addressing customer concerns.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety standards.
