EMPLOYMENT PROSPECT Housing Manager

Permanent - Full Time Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in housing administration, social work, community services, property management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience will be considered an asset; minimum of three years’ experience in housing management, property administration, tenant relations, or a related field, preferably within a First Nation or community service environment; demonstrated understanding of housing policies, landlord and tenant rights, and applicable legislation, including the Yukon Landlord and Tenant Act; Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases, and relevant housing management software; commitment to ongoing professional development, leadership, and training.

Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Capital, the Housing Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations, administration, and delivery of the Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation (LSCFN) Housing Program. This includes oversight of tenant relations, ensuring compliance with housing policies and procedures, coordinating housing allocations, managing housing applications and tenancy agreements,



and providing administrative support for the LSCFN Housing Committee's processes.

The Housing

Manager works closely with the Housing Committee by preparing meeting agendas and application packages and providing administrative guidance and assistance throughout the allocation process.

Manager addresses tenant concerns and issues effectively, maintains accurate housing records, and collaborates closely with Capital Department staff to ensure efficient maintenance and management of housing stock. The role involves working collaboratively with community members, committees, and external stakeholders to positively represent LSCFN’s interests and strategic priorities. The incumbent plays a key role in policy development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of housing services, consistently applying a fair, culturally appropriate, and proactive approach to meet the community's housing needs.
