Visual In-Store Merchandiser Reports to: Store Manager
Department: Operations Role Summary The In-Store Merchandiser executes visual merchandising while respecting the Company’s standards in order to support a superior shopping experience for our customers.
Critical
Functions 1.
Visual
Presentation & Merchandising Supports and executes windows & in-store set-ups, navigation changes and any different moves in stores to support the business and seasonal projection.
Assists the store Management Team in maintaining high visual standards to elevate shopping experience, storytelling and WOW factor throughout the store. Participates with store Management Team & Visual Merchandisers of the region in visual initiatives and adaptations needed to drive traffic & sales.
Demonstrates creativity and is open to changes.
Uses all visual tools available to efficiently plan, organize and execute visual set-ups on a monthly basis.
Communicates deficiencies and unsafe store conditions to Management. Assists store Management Team in proper execution of all Marketing directives with a high sense of urgency. Maintains standards regarding folding and sizing, proper usage of hangers and foam strips. 2.
Customer Service
Has constant customer awareness and knows to stop, drop and serve. Prepares all incoming and outgoing merchandise in a timely manner. ***If Inventory Lead role in store, not an ISM tasks as ISM needs to focus on visual.
Ensures all visual elements (when not in use)
are properly stored in a designated area in the backroom only, discarding old banners and signage as per Marketing directives.
Additional Responsibilities Ensures
Health and Safety standards are met at all times (i.e. backroom clear and free of garbage, exit doors not blocked, hangers stored safely).
Maintains housekeeping standards.
Attends Product Knowledge sessions offered seasonally by the Merchandising Team.
Participates in new store set-up and opening within region as required.
Adheres to all new and existing Company policies and procedures (i.e.
Dress
Code, Loss Prevention, Health & Safety and Human Resources).
Requirements Experience in fashion with a strong background in display/merchandising
Experience in a retail environment preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail oriented with strong follow-through skills
Able to adapt to changes and work on adaptable schedules
Demonstrates fashion flair and creativity.
Exhibits initiative, self-direction and develops relationships easily.
Sense of urgency
Ability to prioritize and able to multitask
Positive attitude and confident
Passion to keep learning, growing and adapting Working Conditions and Workplace Hours will be scheduled according to the store’s volume and business needs.
Works in a standing position.
Requires lifting and/or pushing (20-50 lbs) of product/boxes.
Uses ladders.
Required to use security equipment, as needed.
