Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in maintaining and troubleshooting complex instrumentation systems, ensuring optimal operation of manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, and the ability to interpret schematics and control systems.

Duties

- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation systems including sensors, controllers, and other process equipment
- Maintain and service programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and associated control panels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, AutoCAD drawings, and technical manuals
- Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems to minimize downtime
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades
- Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized tools to identify faults in sensors, wiring, or control devices
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize system performance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to low voltage electrical systems and industrial maintenance practices




- Support manufacturing operations by providing technical expertise on instrumentation issues

Skills

- Proven experience in industrial maintenance and electrical troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrician practices, including low voltage wiring and sensor integration
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings accurately
- Experience with sensors, CNC machinery, and automation systems
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work in industrial environments
- Excellent customer service skills when working with internal teams or external vendors
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced manufacturing settings
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
