Pizza Bianca and Café is opening soon and seeking a dynamic team as a Kitchen Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service experiences! This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, vibrant environment where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will shine. You’ll be instrumental in supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met, all while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for staff and guests alike.

Duties

- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals to ensure timely service
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and safety guidelines to help prepare a variety of dishes
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are maintained (Food Safe1 is preferred)
- Serve meals efficiently to guests or staff, ensuring presentation and quality meet established standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies for smooth operations
- Assist in inventory management by stocking ingredients and supplies as needed




- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to promote a safe working environment for everyone

Skills

- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
- Solid knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry
- Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking processes efficiently and accurately
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, skilled attitude towards customers or colleagues
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Enthusiasm for learning new culinary techniques and contributing positively to the team environment
- Able to lift 50lbs
