Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly versatile and self‑driven Verification & Validation (VnV) Engineer to join our Test Engineering Group. This role covers a broad scope of responsibilities—from automation development, optical validation and verification, remote interface testing, GUI testing to microscopy and platform testing. The ideal candidate thrives in a rapid‑paced, multi‑domain environment and is comfortable being both a developer and a hands‑on tester.

Candidate responsibilities include:

- Develop, maintain and run test automation infrastructure via test plans and automations, building test cases and script automation from requirements.
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure successful deliverables and overall results.
- Execute tests according to the test plan, and assist in manual testing where automation is not possible.
- Design, develop and maintain automated test software and tools written in Python, C++ and Visual Studio.
- Develop automated web‑based GUI testing suites.
- Set up and configure optical networking test gear and perform product testing, regression,



verification and characterization.
- Work closely with R&D; developers to isolate and fix issues and to translate customer requirements into improved products.
- Log, track and report defects and test results; create and present progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or comparable experience).
- 5+ years of experience scripting in Python, C++ or Visual Studio.
- Previous experience with optical instrumentation (preferred).
- Experience in test planning, test strategy and working in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, planning and time‑management skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a passion for quality and innovation.

Benefits

Pay Range: 78,400 to 145,600 (salary may vary based on qualifications and location).
