South West Bulk Express is expanding its Calgary maintenance team. We are hiring two Lead Heavy-Duty Technicians and are accepting applications from motivated second-, third-, and fourth-year apprentices.

Lead Technician Opportunities Our Lead Technicians help set the standard in the shop. These positions are suited to experienced professionals who can diagnose challenging problems, complete quality repairs, guide other technicians, and keep work moving safely and efficiently.

Lead Technician applicants should have:

- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- A valid CVIP licence
- Strong diagnostic and repair abilities
- Leadership skills and a commitment to quality
- The ability to document repairs, labour, and parts usage using fleet maintenance software
- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract




- Their own set of basic hand tools

Apprentice Opportunities We are looking for registered second-year apprentices or higher who want to strengthen their skills and build a long-term career in the heavy-duty repair industry.

Apprentice applicants should have

- Second-, third-, or fourth-year apprentice status
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- A commitment to safe, high-quality work
- Reliability and the ability to work well with a team
- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Their own set of basic hand tools

Responsibilities Depending on experience and certification, duties may include:
- Inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all makes and models of highway trucks
- Inspecting and repairing dry-bulk pneumatic trailers and related systems
- Completing vehicle and equipment safety checks
- Performing preventive maintenance and general repair work
- Accurately recording repairs, labour time, and parts usage
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Following company safety standards and established procedures
- Travelling to off-site locations when required

Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to push, pull, drag, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. The position may occasionally require working at shoulder height with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
