Take charge of digital identifier services as the Researcher Visibility and Identity Lead at the University of Waterloo. Enhance research impact and sustainability in a team-oriented campus environment. The University of Waterloo Libraries is on the lookout for an innovative professional to coordinate persistent digital identifier services for research.
You’ll work closely with the Bibliometrics and Research Impact Librarian and various partners to optimize systems promoting open research and scholarly communications.
Key duties involve leading projects, outreach for integration, and fostering team collaboration while ensuring data accuracy and quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the PID infrastructure for accurate research identity management
- Develop a sustainability framework for ORCID integration
- Create and manage detailed project plans
- Promote engagement and education on PIDs across campus
- Collaborate with multiple university departments and teams Requirements:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with citation tracking and research systems
- Strong project management skills with diverse partners
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities
- Knowledge of bibliometrics and scholarly communication practices Drive research intelligence initiatives through management of persistent identifiers, promoting systemic improvements at the University of Waterloo.
